One would have expected that the need for additional support to the front wings and step boards would have been foreseen when the body frame was strengthened.
Park Wards are apparently now removing the bolts that connect the wing to the step and are fitting an additional bracket to support the step, but I understand this is only a temporary measure.

In view of the attitude which you are seeking to take up re Barkers, I feel it is necessary to put on record the fact that our general feeling in London is that the first batch of Bentley bodies has given rise to more complaints than any other batch of bodies the Company has ever ordered, and at the same time would remind you that this batch of bodies was more closely supervised from a technical point of view, by you, than any other batch of bodies that we have ordered.
