Service Maintenance - Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} previously described, and the inside of the spring housing and damper thoroughly cleaned. The union on the pipe from the damper governor should be disconnected, and the nuts removed. The damper valve unit should then be removed complete. Clean the valve unit thoroughly and see that the valve M is free on valve I. Rebuild the system and refill with oil. The damper governor system should now be bled (see instructions p. ). This is always necessary if the pipe unions have been broken, as a certain amount of air gets trapped. If a knock develops in the front suspension it may be due to a broken spring in one of the replenishing valves. If this is found to be the case the hexagon nut keeping the ball and spring in position should be removed, and the broken spring replaced by a new one. | ||
