We were asked by Lr.{Mr Ellor} yesterday to report on the above type of flexible pipe, and we would state that the Superflexit type of flexible fuel and oil pipes have been in use at Hucknall both for Flight Tests and Rig Tests for the past 18 months. No trouble has been experienced at any period, and we would state here that this type of pipe is definitely superior to other makes inasmuch as it is more flexible, lighter, and cheaper. At the moment we have no experience with the flexible oil pipe, but we understand that Imperial Airways fit flexible oil pipes as standard, and these are of the Superflexit type.
