. . . . . . . . . . . .

We have however, weighed all the Pros.& cons. up and have found a way of taking out the Radiator Matrix and shutters, without disturbing the rest; So we will drill the stud holes out and fit the fan.

PEREGRINE STEERING COLUMN.
How to support the column will be a puzzle but, we will see what can be arranged. The whipping is due to the thinness of the top portion of the column table, that is above the thrust race. We do not make our columns stiff enough.

ENGINE ROUGHNESS
Our engine was definately smoother with the Standard head fitted, apart from the crank periods.
The periods we have cured 90% by the damper which we are very pleased with, as it is staying put. We are using one ferobestos friction washer and a cork washer which we have designed. We are going to try all cork.

Our engine got worse for roughness with the Carbon deposit. The detonations you would not get away with. We agree that good petrol will make a difference, but the point is, France is going to go Bentley mad; Its the only sports car that can do everything the French driver wants, why spoil it.

If you want to save weight take the controlled dampers off, they are of no use and not wanted. The only reliable damper which would make the car perfect is the Deram. We dont object to the 7 to I compression, but is the design of the head giving the best results ? The Paris trials car and our own was approximately the same weight.

I do not know precisely how the bodies are standing up in Paris with the Bumper bars fitted, but if they were any where near the condition of 5 B IV, they would not be on the road.

We shall be surprised if the centre pillars and the roof on 5 B IV does not leave the Body. Sr does not appreciate the results obtained with the Bumper bars, nor with the propeller shaft damper.

WATER EXCLUDERS.
Up to the time of the Axle twisting the water Excluders had operated satisfactory.
