frozen the key is still an easy fit in the keyway, both on the driving faces and on the top, in order to avoid any chance of the key taking all the shrinkage load.

It would appear necessary to position the serrations at the top of the worm shaft for the attachment of the steering wheel/to the key for the/relative worm. We say this because we have now a three-spoke steering wheel which shows the inaccuracy of the positioning of the spokes more severely than did the old four-spoke wheel, and also because the position of the cam wheel relative to the cam is important due to the tight spot having to occur when the car is steering dead straight.

We believe the taper serrations are already located relative to the key, but we see no indication on the worm detail to state the position of the keyway relative to the start of the thread on the worm. On our details of similar American steerings we notice that this feature is called for.

3) Wraith II Steering Box.

We confirm our verbal agreement with 'F' Dept. that the diameter of the rocker shaft may be reduced to 1.125" in order that the same taper serrations may be used, and the same Perfect oil seal as on Phantom III.

The pendulum lever retaining nut can be reduced to the same size as on Phantom III, which we believe is 3/4" thread.

As the pendulum lever is very short we suggest that we should start off with no clips to the oil pipe.
