mechanically operated suction pump would be a great asset in
this connection.

LUBRICATION.

We are anxious to reduce the number of lubrication
points on the chassis. On 10-Ex we shall in any case have to
centralize the lubrication somewhat as the complete under-
shielding of the car will make a number of points inaccessible.

FRONT SPRINGS.

We still feel that it would be a great asset if
we £ could try a new type of front springing that would reduce
the pitching tendency of the car for given riding comfort.
The two best sprung cars on the road that we have ever tried,
the Lancia and the small Ansaldo, both had unconventional front
springing combined with semi-elliptic rear. We are trying two
Air Springs made by The Westinghouse people on the front of a
40/50 HP. car.

LOWER CHASSIS.

Any means of lowering the chassis has been shewn
by our tests to improve the car controlability enormously.

WEIGHT REDUCTION.

EAC.7. chassis is an advance in weight reduction.
The only item on the chassis which at present seems to us to
afford possibilities of further weight reduction is the Gearbox.
