With regard to the remaining curves the R.M.S. values are a measure of the energy lost in heating the primary winding.

The average current curves are a direct measure of the coil input.

In the case of the four cylinders engine we recommend the simpler and more easily serviced single lever Delco-Remy distributor, as fitted to the Sunbeam Talbot. As this has a four lobed cam we can in this case, obtain a make ratio of sufficient amplitude.
