PHANTOM III. EXHAUST SYSTEM.

We have now decided that the new exhaust system is not good enough to run 15,000 miles test in France on 35-EX, and therefore we would like you to fit a standard system on this car. The downtake pipes are already in "Aluminized" mild steel, the "Aluminized" mild steel fromt expansion box and intermediate pipe at present on 36-EX. should be taken off and fitted to 35-EX. These are the mild steel parts we propose to standardize for Production.

The tail pipe should of course be as now instructed for Production i.e. 1.750" dia.

The straight thro' pipe and trouser piece removed from 36-EX. last week can be re-fitted.
