Messrs K.L.G.Sparking Plugs Ltd.,
Robinhood Engineering Works,
Putney Vale,
London.S.W.15.

Dear Sirs,

As you are aware we use your K.I. type plugs on our 20/25 HP. model, we do this not because we cannot get a suitable plug made elsewhere but because it is our policy to distribute our requirements in cases where a satisfactory article is obtainable from more than one source.

In view of this we are astounded to find supplies of K.L.G. plugs in our Stores of a different pattern from what we have recently standardised. We refer to the K.I. type of plug with thick central electrode and stepped insulator which gives satisfactory results; the last batch of supplies have a thinner central electrode and are so unsatisfactory that we cannot under any consideration use them.

We would point out that we cannot and will not accept any article differing at all from our standard; we should have thought that this would have been realised before the inferior plugs were despatched to us. We hope that in future we shall not have occasion to raise a similar objection.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
