Herewith is N. Sch.4063 shewing a modification to the distance piece under the spring pot, converting it from an alum. casting to a steel drop forging, and providing extensions on either side which spread the base of the distance piece and give it a better grip of the sheet steel crossmember.

There is also an additional distance piece brazed to the centre of the bearing housing.
