Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X9940 PN{Mr Northey}2/DN30.9.24. TO EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} FROM PN{Mr Northey} c.c. to CJ BJ Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Ox H DEMONSTRATION OF 6-WHEEL-BRAKES ON OCTOBER 10TH. In reply to your EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}6/H29.9.24, the best plan will be for the five officials who will be responsible for demonstrating the uses of the above on five cars on the 10th October, to meet here on the afternoon of the 9th October, at a time to be arranged later, in order to discuss the many points arising out of the demonstration of the new Rolls-Royce system of 4-wheel brakes, Also, it would probably be a good plan to take one of the cars out to a locality somewhere near Stanmore, where it is proposed the tests shall be made, and there hold a 'dress rehearsal'. It is not proposed to give more than, say, a 15 minutes' demonstration of the brakes to anyone car full of passengers. The demonstration is not going to be one of the Rolls-Royce car, but merely the one new feature on the car. Obviously it is desired that the cars in every respect shall give the very best impression, but time will not be taken up in demonstrating anything but the brake system. PN{Mr Northey} | ||
