I have received R's note R4/M26.3.27 with reference to the charge indicator, but I am afraid I am not clear from this as to the exact nature of the scheme suggested by you with R's modification, known as the green lamp scheme. I should be very pleased if you could give me a more exact description than is contained in Mr. Royce's note, as I feel that I am not able to give an opinion on it or arrange one for test with the present information.

In regard to R's gassing indicator, I think also in that case if we are to test it on the experimental cars, we should have more information as to the exact arrangement and sizes of the apparatus which Messrs. Peto & Radford have arranged with Mr. Royce, so that the apparatus we test will be reasonably representative of what might be considered possible to become standard.

I suppose really that we ought to have a scheme or arrangement drawing of this apparatus from you.

EFC.
