GLEASON WORKS,

New York, U.S.A.

Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
Nightingale Road,
Derby, England.

November 10th., 1937.

Attention : Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce.

Gentlemen,

We thank you for your order 50322.

Our engineers advise that they do not anticipate any difficulty with cutter clearing the front or inside pinion bearing.

We plan to omit the finish grind on this front bearing as we notice that it is to be used as the inner race of the bearing and requires a very close tolerance. We will leave this 1.073 plus .000" minus .0005". Prints of both members are enclosed. Please advise at once in case any changes are required.

This lot of 3 pairs of gears will be invoiced at $75.00 per pair - F.O.B. Rochester - freight prepaid to New York - 30 days net - delivery 5 to 6 weeks.

We trust that you will find the above entirely satisfactory.

Very truly yours,

GLEASON WORKS.
