Contd. -2- EFC2/T4.12.20. accumulates in this box. This ought certainly to be effective provided, as you will be able to confirm for us, that the box itself becomes higher in temperature than the ambient air. Do you see any objection to cutting this hole, as I think if we do this, it would be quite unnecessary at any time to change the fuse wire and also we think it would be a great advantage in keeping down the temperature of the cut-out windings. [The following paragraph is crossed out with a large 'X'] If the openings through which the wires/part are too much filled up by the wires, a second hole might be cut at the bottom, so that the convection currents produced have free circulation. If noone sees any objection to this, we certainly think this ought to be done. EFC.
