RADIATOR. LOP. RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}68SI 58m/m HARRISON MATRIX.

Efficiency good, free from leaks. Water lost through drain pipe equals approximately 1/2 pint per 700 miles. Radiator has periods of unsteadiness, no trouble with anchorage.

BONNETS.

Louvered and plain bonnets tested. The louvered bonnet reduces temperature under bonnet and under scuttle. Plain bonnet tests proved flaps of little value - full details reported.

PETROL SYSTEM.

There has been no repetition of faulty supply during the latter mileage. Slow running is affected by the operation of the autovac suction.

ELECTRICAL.

HEAD LAMPS.

To obtain a satisfactory beam for night driving, 60 Watt bulbs were fitted. The general opinion formed is that the majority of the French head lamps are superior to ours, and their dimming arrangements far superior.

IGNITION DISTRIBUTION AND CONTACT POINTS.

No trouble has been experienced with the distribution. The contact points are in a good condition, no wear having taken place.

LODGE PLUGS WITH PHILCO RADIO SUPPRESSORS.

We have experienced misfires on three occasions through dirty plug points. The condition of the plug points showed little signs of burning, the chief fault being the deterioration of the insulation at the top of the centre electrode.

DYNAMO.

The output has been sufficient for all demands. Towards the finish a slight whine developed at medium speeds. Commutator and brush gear were in a good condition.

BATTERY.

We have not observed any deterioration of the battery. Evaporation of water has been normal. Total amount added during the mileage has been 1 pint.

RR. STOP LAMP SWITCH.

This has given no trouble throughout the mileage.
