To HJ. c. to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1209 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}5/GB.19.9.35. NO. 2 TEST HOUSE. As running will be held up for a time now while equipment is being installed and wiring carried out, we should like the No.1 'Exe' Unit conversion to proceed simultaneously with the No.2 Unit and the Blower. We propose to leave the Bentley conversion over for 2 or 3 months, as we are now anxious to clear off some outstanding work on the Rudge Whitworth cylinder. To do this we will surrender the No.1 'Exe' unit for conversion immediately and the original arrangement used for running the Rudge Whitworth can then be brought in again but at the other end of the bed where the Bentley unit is now situated - the latter to be put aside until the Rudge Whitworth work is completed or until a new test house is available whichever is earlier. Will you please plan accordingly. ----------------- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} | ||
