S/W....Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} B. Re B-49-BL...CONTINENTAL TRIALS. This is the car I mentioned to you as being the subject of a complaint by Sr after he had given it a hard week-end run. It was arranged it should be sent back to you as soon as possible. It seems it has other engagements in Belgium and Switzerland for the Shows, and we cannot, in the ordinary way, get it back until about December 10th. Sr. had suggested that the faults he complained of were not serious enough yet to stop these demonstrations. Perhaps you will please let me know if this date will suit you. Of course, if the faults should develop so as to make the car unsuitable for trial runs we should necessarily have to withdraw it. This car has done 3,000 kilos. only in France, and during the next month will probably do not so much as this additional, but it might be useful mileage with a view to seeing the effect on coachwork.
