Bailey - Chief Engineer})E, Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}, ER. PN.{Mr Northey} OY. (RB{R. Bowen}) Expl. No. x9910 3409 3010 REF. Hsl/LG22.1.24. OBJECT OF TEST. To obtain data on servo brake. TESTER. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham. CONDITIONS. Tests carried out on brake test rig. SUMMARY OF TEST. The results attached of tests taken on the rig are confirmed by road experience. We have recently re-lined a servo brake with new shoes and we found the proportion of braking to the rear greatly reduced - it was necessary to run with the brake on and to roast the material before it would give us the same results as previously. We are making a test with material in which we have baked all the bonding material out of it. We have recently removed the liners from two servo brakes which have been operating on a car - in both cases it shows definitely more wear on the wrapping shoe ( We are sending samples to R.{Sir Henry Royce} and WW.) We are testing a servo with cast-iron liners. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
