TORQUE REACTION DAMPERS WITH DIAMOND
ENGINE MOUNTING.

The scheme you fitted up for us on 24-EX has proved to be just what we want for testing purposes. We now have the diamond engine mounting fitted to 25-EX and would like to try a similar scheme of torque reaction dampers on this car to confirm our previous results. We would be obliged therefore, if you would arrange to repeat 24-EX scheme on 25-EX. One point of importance is that torque reaction dampers themselves should be very rigidly attached to the frame.

While we are making this alteration we should like to fit the plate, at present on the back of 24-EX, to the back of 25-EX gearbox. We want to use the extremities of this plate either as (1) Dampers, (2) Solid fixing. The brackets at present in the frame of 25-EX at this point are not rigid enough, and the bottom frame channel to which they are attached has no support( see sketch ). We suggest that one of the pieces used in the tie-rod pillar mounting would overcome this trouble.
