Dear Mr. West, Your letter of the 14th inst to Mr. Minchin has been passed on to me, as he is away abroad until the end of next week. We have not actually tested "Acculight", so have no definite information as to what it contains. We have, however, tested many of these patent electrolytes in the last few years, and have not found one which improves the performance of an accumulator in any way, whilst some of them are definitely harmful. It is rather difficult for anyone to come up and see you about this matter just at the moment, as Mr. Preston, who knows more than anybody about these matters, is away ill, and his assistant cannot spare the time just now.
