Dear Mr.Clark,

When I was recently at Derby, you mentioned in Mr.Whitehead's office some correspondence which was passing between Mr.Minchin and the Company regarding the charging of batteries in service.

I have had a request from Mr.Minchin to lend him one of our batteries for a few days to try out on his car, and I assume that this must be with the object of comparing the characteristics of the two batteries.

Whilst acceding with Mr.Minchin's request, I should like it to be understood that we are not associated with anything which Mr.Minchin may communicate to you about Exide batteries.

Yours faithfully,

E C McKinnon
