Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} for attention of Mr Warwick. X1583 H11/EF19824. Laboratory. Re 2 samples of "Castrol" Oil. No.1-unused, No. 2---used. Sample 1. Flash Point 225°C. Moisture 0.74% Acid 0.62% Sample 2. 185°C. 0.47% 0.89% The Fatty Acid is higher than usual, and this percentage in the presence of the moisture would tend to cause corrosion. The low Flash Point of the used castrol oil indicates the presence of about 0.10% Petrol. H1. | ||
