I feel confident we shall have no further trouble, and I am keeping the aluminium brackets in position to confirm it.

STEERING.

We like very much the feeling of security the solid end of the side steering tube has made to the selectiveness of the car. The joggles are by no means any worse than any present standard car. We should like very much for you to verify this on one of your cars The load is 30 inch pounds, as fitted.

GENERAL.

We are carefully watching the engine mounting, front and rear axles, cross members etc. for any faults.

RADIATOR.

We have fitted a spring as we were running too cold when coasting. The shutters were not positive enough.

RE. STARTER MOTOR.

We risked and left the car standing outside the garage all night to obtain starting difficulties.

The following data was obtained :-

Air Temp. 6°C. Oil Temp 6°C.

First 1/4 min the engine revs. were 68 per min. This dropped to 52 r.p.m. for the next one minute and 40 secs. They did not obtain a start of the engine. I gave thema throttle position which previously has been OK. for starting, but Brazier said it would not start until they had closed the throttle for another five seconds.

I carried out this test because they had been using the starting handle to assist the motor every morning, and I wanted to know if this was necessary, because we had not found it so on our way over.

The test will be repeated to obtain a more definite start.
