In answer to your memo Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}1/T.14.1.33, a meeting was held of Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} HHC. and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} to confirm the position as regards these two chassis, and the following notes were taken: Peregrine 3 by the end of this week will be ready to proceed to France, and will be an uptodate chassis in all respects except for the following features. No.1. Carburetter and induction pipe. No.2. New steering box column and controls complete, and new position of steering. No.3. Dynamo. Item 1. will be on test next week, and together with the other items mentioned will be incorporated in No.5. Peregrine, which will represent the final chassis, and which will be completed as soon as it is considered that the carburetter and induction pipe are ready for the final test. As regards the Bensport, the first of this type is just about to go on the road, while the instructions for the second Bensport chassis are rapidly nearing completion. The second chassis will be fitted with the proper Bensport engine having dry sump and separate oil tank, and also with the independent gearbox unit. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
