To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}

Ha/Rn.{Mr Robinson}2/MJ.28.3.30.

We asked G.W.H. to carefully check the height
of the gear-box relative to the frame on his car, and
see whether it sunk at all, due to the engine rubbers
giving way.

This morning we have received a note as follows:-
"We have checked the height of the gear box with
level of frame and after 3,000 miles it has dropped .0625".
Further measurements will be taken at finish of the mileage".

We think that this indicates that a support on
the same lines as Phantom ll between the rear of the gear-
box and the cross-member would be a considerable asset.

At present we do not like to over-hang of the
gear-box.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}
