1269 To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} c. D/BP. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.12/WH,25.3.38. We send you herewith two Ph.III water pumps returned from Cricklewood to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. for inspection, from chassis 3.AZ.68 and 3.AZ.180 (see complaint reports N.718 and N.707). The thrust buttons are badly worn and the driving splines on one (3.AZ.180) are damaged. Various schemes are under test at the moment to overcome the wear of the thrust button, while Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/McS. is detailing a scheme to prevent further spline trouble. Will you please recondition these pumps and return them to N in the usual manner. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
