To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} 1109 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}1/AP.4.2.37. Replying to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/KW.3.2.37. - NON-SKID CHAINS ON FRONT WHEELS. CADILLAC. Parson's Chains Foul cross steering tube and side steering lever; also wings on half lock. They are also dangerously close to the brake operating cable. Grips Cannot be fitted owing to disc wheels. CHEVROLET. Both chains and grips can be fitted, but there is zero clearance between them and the suspension levers. PACKARD Parson's Chains Can be fitted but foul the lower suspension levers on full lock and would probably bow out sufficiently at speed to foul wings. Grips Cannot be fitted as wheels are of disc type. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} | ||
