RE SHOCK ABSORBERS.

This confirms experiments I am now making on shock absorbers and springs about which I have already reported to the Technical Committee, to the effect that to get good springing it is essential to have really flexible springs, at the same time it is impossible to run with flexible springs without shock absorbers.

Our present standard setting of Shock absorbers is insufficient and should be set about 3 times stronger. The ball end fitting joints of these shock absorbers are a serious trouble and are continually getting slack.

With this extra load therefore it would appear that we should have further trouble on this point and I therefore suggest
