Referring to C.17/C.16.5.34.

We developed the attached scheme to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1224 to cure this complaint. An air valve to this drawing did several thousand miles on C's car and also ran on one of our experimental cars.

The position is that the latest carburetter which is now in production eliminates the fault of the sticking air valves, as the one used is of the S.U. type.

The air valve about which complaints are now being made has been in production for at least five years. We are reluctant to offer our altered air valve as a cure at the moment when the trouble is passing out of production.
