EXPLAINING THE MEASUREMENTS SHEWN ON THE ATTACHED PRINT. CURVES A & B. Demonstrate that the rubber mounting allows the engine to float so that its amplitude of movement is not so great as that of the radiator. CURVES 1 to 5. Shew that stiffness on the front of the frame makes a slight improvement but not so much as fitting spare wheels at the side. The dumbell increasing the moment of inertia of the frame tremendously is shewn to be 100% cure. * * CURVES A & B Dispose of the theory that if the frame could be restrained from moving sideways no jellying or wobbles could take place. CURVE Z. Shews that even under extreme artificial conditions the radiator only moves .300. The remaining curves on 19-EX shew advantages to be gained from various body mountings none of which are a 100% cure.
