JX/JM.{Mr Morley} C. Rn.{Mr Robinson} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}11/G.29.4.39. 6135 c.a.p. D.CD.1352 - INSPECTION LAMP SOCKET WITH SWITCH AND INSPECTION LAMP PLUG. Herewith the above scheme which is an improved assembly to replace the existing inspection plug fittings, viz. DW.629 Base, DW.630 Smith's See-Saw Switch, D.75402 Plug socket. D.70414 Plug. The new unit is smaller than its predecessor, and should be considerably cheaper. The Smith's See-saw Switch has been replaced by a Lucas Positive-action Push Switch, and as the prices of these switches are respectively 3/3d. and about 1/6d. each, we should save about 1/9d. per unit on this item alone. We understand that Messrs. Lucas buy the Plug D.70414 for 11d. and we think that the plug we show on the above scheme could be produced much more economically. We suggest Cost Department be asked to give us the saving before proceeding. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
