R.R. 755 (10M) (SL 72 15-7-23) MP 274954a. X4261 COMPLETED 4.3.24 STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. Date 22.1.24. X No. 4261 Description of Parts. ROAD SPRINGS. 40/50 HP. AND 20 HP. Origin To suit bad roads abroad. Experimental Test Report. We frequently receive complaints of road springs being too weak for countries such as - Australia, Poland, Portugal etc. The suggested modification is to increase the strength of road springs 20%. Road Test Report. The effect of the 20% stiffer springs is that they will greatly reduce the bumping over bad roads - we also expect they will tend to reduce spring failures. We recommend we adopt 20% stiffer springs where roads are consistently bad. Drawing No. Part List A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers.
