Y4584 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}1/H4.4.23. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} re 20-HP Car, No. 44-G-3, sent to America. --------------------------------------- We have received the following cablegram from our tester Wright:- "General impression excellent. Springfield disappointed springing, stronger desirable, any suggestions." We propose to reply to this cablegram by pointing out that it has now been arranged in regard to 20-HP cars for abroad, that they shall have stronger springs in similar proportion to the 40/50 cars, and therefore we should do the same for 20-HP cars for U.S.A. Will it be in order for us to reply to this effect and ask Wright to obtain from Springfield what extra strength of spring they consider this car requires to be satisfactory in this respect? EP.{G.
