X.767 By from Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} c.to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} e.to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}8/NJ28.2.21. Radiators. Messrs.Orme,Evans & Co.Ltd. have been here today and have notified us of a slight reduction in price of our standard radiator with 7 m/m tubes expanded to 8 m/m; the price from today of the standard radiator will be £28.0.0d. At the same time, they informed us that radiators otherwise standard, but with tubes 8 m/m expanded to 9½ m/m, could be manufactured for £25.10.0d. each. This considerable reduction in cost would appear to make it well worth while our considering the adoption of the larger size of tubes. Will you kindly consider the matter, with a view to obtain the views of those concerned. Messrs.Orme,Evans & Co. are quite prepared to make up a radiator with the larger tubes if we desire one for testing.
