| -3- Suspension. This has no particular merit. SUMMARY. We should have chosen 26-XX. the trials car at Berlin in preference to the Maybach from the point of view of silence and performance had we been a customer. Therefore we do not recommend we buy a complete car unless (1) We regard the unit as being useful from the point of view of negative information. (2) The time element is of such importance that we cannot wait and fit a Maybach box to a P.II. price, delivered in London on a triptique will be about £1,800. We are not surprised Maybachs have not obtained better results as they spread their engine energies between Airship, Bus' and car engines and have not a big technical staff. We recommend we buy a gearbox and fit it to a P.II. this will give us a definite results with our flywheel inertia etc. Dr. Maybach is writing to us re-delivery. Personally we would not sacrifice silence on top and in neutral for an easy change between bottom and second speeds which are so rarely used, but if we get a gearbox a general opinion can soon be obtained from all concerned.
