Questions re battery ignition to which Mr. Royce requires answers.

1. Why do we have pre-ignitions due to mutual induction on the R.R. non-trembler battery ignition and not on the Delco ignitions as fitted on the Packard, Buick and Essex cars ?

2. Why do Tungsten contact points fail on the R.R. Non-trembler Battery Ignition and not on the Delco Ignition ?

3. Does ventilation of the distributor enable brass to be used satisfactorily for distributor sparking points ?

4. Why can the U.S.A. Bosch Battery ignition be made so cheaply ? Is there any technical reason why it should be less expensive ?

The Le Carbone and Morganite people should be consulted for the best carbon material suitable for carbon distributor brush.
