re Subsistance and travelling allowances

We understand that subsistance and travelling allowances have now been paid to all new members of the staff of the D.O. at Clan Exptl. who have joined the Company since the chassis design and detail office were evacuated from the Works. We presume that the back money would be payable from the date of engagement up to June 1st. 1940.

The following people at Park Leys have not received any subsistance or travelling allowance since they joined the Company. We give below the names, time card number, date of commencement of duties and place employed and payment rates.

D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Kightley - 762 Jan. 8th./40. to March 27th./40. Clan Exp:
March 28th./40. to June 1st. Park Leys.

L. Feher - 769 Feb. 1st./40. - June 1st./40. Park Leys.

C.L. Cantrill 768 Feb. 5th./40 - June 1st./40. Park Leys.

G.D.Griffiths 766 March 4th./40.- June 1st./40. Bark Leys.

J.E.Hocking 748 May.15th./40 - June 1st./40 Park Leys.

The rates are we believe

Park Leys - 9/- subsistance - 4/- travelling.
Clan Exp: - 15/- inclusive.

The above figures are for a 5 1/2 day normal week.
