R's 2nd PWW 1 40/50, AN EXCELLENT CAR BUT ALL GEARS TOO NOISY!
6 EX
To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce}

R7/M10.1.23.
6-EX CAR. X.3923
X.3548.
This is an excellent car, but could be slightly less noisy in the gears, especially the back axle.
I refer particularly to the back axle, and I think perhaps the timing gears.
I understand that it is proposed to sell this car complete as it nows stands, because we are expecting to have a 'Stork', 'Heron' and 'Seagull' round soon. *
