Dear Mr. Robotham,

As I promised you, I took up with Admiral Evans the question of using your 40mm. gun for ground defence.

I am afraid Admiral Evans feels that since there are so few of these guns in existence, and no prospect of immediate production of the guns or their mountings, he could not use this weapon in his present schemes for factory and aerodrome defence.
