N/W. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/WYM.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} File 400b Br/G30/G.24-6-40. re. Bentley Chassis No. 8-B-V.{VIENNA} This is the car for which, as you know, you sent us another gearbox. The original one was returned in the back of the car. When the replacement was received, it was minus the change speed gate etc, but we could not utilise the original parts owing to a difference in types. To get the job away, we borrowed these parts from a new B-V chassis, and the latter now has to be made complete. Details are - C/s Lever, gate, actuating shaft, selector arm, the latter complete with bearing at gearbox end, and the GB/5117 set screw, for servo shaft. Will you please look into this matter for us and, if you can, send us these pieces as soon as possible, for installation on the 'borrowed' job.
