We have carried out tests with the .187 aluminium pin in the camshaft drive, running first with the frictional damper locked up solid, and then entirely free. In each case we carried out a 28 hrs. endurance test, on the hangar and experienced no failure. We are repeating these tests with slack splines and slacked off nut to see what the effect is.
