FRONT PAN.

Here is a brief report from Clapham on the experiments he has done on trying to simplify bent front pan, so far without success.

I agree that until we get further information from the people who have to produce this pan as a pressing , it is difficult to simplify the design intelligently.

It is, however, clear that we cannot leave off any of the bolted on pieces without losing torsion stiffness.
