1010 To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Clm.{D. D. Clapham}10/ML.19.2.40. FRONT PAN. Here is a brief report from Clapham on the experiments he has done on trying to simplify bent front pan, so far without success. I agree that until we get further information from the people who have to produce this pan as a pressing , it is difficult to simplify the design intelligently. It is, however, clear that we cannot leave off any of the bolted on pieces without losing torsion stiffness. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
