Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG13.9.22. GOSHAWK - EXXXI - MAGNETO DRIVE. X4327 We have been running an engine with a Magneto and we find that with no brake on the magneto we get rattles if there is any slack in the drive between the generator and the magneto. As we do not wish to use a brake and as the joints come very near to the exhaust pipe, we recommend we try for the magneto drive a circular disc or discs of spring steel fitted up in a similar manner to the fabric joints. The adjustment might be obtained with the present serrated drive for the generator. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
