There are several points in the discussion we had with Mr. Royce at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town which I take it you are sending instructions for:- X.2748. (6) Piston with rings much lower down. X.3461.b(7) Shock absorbers similar in action to the Truffault to suit R.R. chassis. X.3426. (8) We find on looking up Mr. Royce's correspondence that it was agreed to by him that on the gear boxes where there is no provision for the speeder drive we should make a pulley to be carried off the frame that would be a good robust job and would be supplied as a part of the chassis. As we are fitting the instrument board, it appears as though we shall have to fix the speedometer because in laying out the instrument board, only a certain amount of space can be allowed for the speedometer, so it appears to be necessary that we should supply that instrument, in any case, we very strongly urge that we should supply the speedometer pulley. You will realize that all these points have to be settled before the complete instructions can be got out for the first 500 chassis. EH. EFC. | ||
