New settings for front shock dampers and suggesting modifications to the air vent and breather.

X235 As a result of our recent tests in France, we have decided that the best setting for the front shock dampers is 40 lbs. load upwards and 80 lbs. load downwards. Will you please instruct the Works to bring in this modification as soon as convenient. Also we should like you to consider reducing the diameters of the air vent on the low pressure side still further to avoid the possibility of the load varying on the low pressure side when very thin oil is used. We have also proved as a result of the last 10,000 miles test that the breather can be dispensed with in the top cap. We suggest that this is blocked up on the dampers being fitted to cars as it eliminates the chance of air getting in if the damper is left lying about after being filled, otherwise, its presence is immaterial.
