Replying to your questions,

A) Yes; during the running the backlash on the inside handles will gradually increase, indicating that the catches are working back with the body movement. It is necessary to open and re-slam the front doors at intervals.

B) No! The doors have been on the main catch, when they flew open. We have also actually seen the N.S.F. door jump from the main to the safety catch while going along - in these instances not flying right open.
