X6036 b. Ha/Wst.4/KT. October 28th, 1931. Delco-Remy & Hyatt Ltd., 111, Grosvenor Road, London S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. Rushton. Dear Sir, We thank you for your letter ref. BR/HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} of the 27th. inst. with the samples of Oilite bearings enclosed. We are interested in these bearings as we told you during the conversation, and will look into the question to see if we can obtain our own starter motor bearings in this self-lubricated material. With reference to the Vaccum Ignition Control, we are going to obtain the full half and quarter load tests of our 20/25 HP. engine, in order to obtain the optimum ignition advance used under these various loads. As soon as we have obtained these curves we hope to approach you further on the matter. We thank you for your trouble in writing to America for information respecting Aero Battery Ignition and look forward with interest to hearing from you on this matter. Yours faithfully, For Rolls Royce Ltd. | ||
