Is it necessary to make all these pieces in view of the proposal to leave off the cam balancer WRAITH III and PHANTOM III CHASSIS

IDLER GEAR - SECTION 5110.

Please receive herewith two blueprints of each of the following, with an extra print of parts marked * :-

WRAITH III. SECTION 5090.
* S.CD.419 Modification to Camshaft Gear.
Ex.S.435 Centre for Camshaft Wheel - 1 off.
Ex.S.436 Camshaft Gear. 1 off.

PHANTOM III. SECTION 5110.
* S.CD.420 Modification to Idler Gear.
Ex.S.437 Centre for Idler Gear. 1 off.
Ex.S.438 Idler Gear - 1 off.

The following standard part will also be required :-

WRAITH III. SECTION 5090.
KB.2953 Lockwasher for Cam Wheels Nuts. 6 off.

The following parts will not be required:-

WRAITH III. SECTION 5090.
G.77693 Lockwasher for Cam Wheel Nuts. 3 off.
EW.920 Centre for Camshaft Wheel. 1 off.
EW.1422 Camshaft Gear. 1 off.

PHANTOM III. SECTION 5110.
E.86982 Idler Gear Blank. 1 off.
E.86983 Sleeve 1 off.
E.87346 Idler Gear. 1 off.

The above schemes and new details have been made at the request of Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}12/AP.18.1.38. to use a die cast alum. centre piece, with Attwaters No. 3108 moulded fabric.

This completes the instructions for the above schemes. Kindly instruct one set for each chassis.
