Shaft Couplings
Dear Mr Bowley from R
I cannot believe the old muff Coupling is right unless it has good workmanship, both machining & fitting of keys
You report that your work demands greater grip than our sellers pattern coupling gives,
This shows that our arm. shafts have very heavy torques, which used to be limited by the slipper drive, I consider it was a mistake to scrap this & put no limit to the motors torque, which with C C motors is enormous before it throws out cutout, probably some of our slipper wheels were set to slip for too low a torque.
