K50k 30-1-39 To R.H. R.M./H.N. Tyres. In reply to your memos 23/26-1-39. When we first fitted the Avon tyres, we paid attention to the red dot & the ballance of the front wheels on their respective hubs. Although at the time we did not measure the ozs/ins out of ballance, we can estimate that they were both the same. The O.S.F. has remained at 18 ozs/ins ie 2 ozs @ 9" radius whilst the N.S.F. has risen to 72 ozs/ins, we have noted a rise from 54 ozs/ins to 72 ozs/ins in 560 miles. This N.S.F. tyre now shows eccentric wear & light joggles can be felt on the steering wheel. We note your remarks regarding the Michelin tyres.
